Chapter 8
Time of the Dark Ones

— I sold my soul for something, but can I perform other rituals? Not selling the soul, but for wealth or love, a love spell or a hex, for example, if I want to.

— You can perform them, but will they work? It depends on you. As I told you earlier, selling your soul for something or simply giving your soul to Me — if you like — is equivalent to baptism in Orthodoxy. These rituals involve renunciation of God and an oath of allegiance to Me. So it is not very different from Orthodox baptism. The only difference is that in return you receive what you desire. You can perform other rituals (sorcery). You just need to remember that not every ritual is worth undertaking. It is still the Dark Art and contains Black Magic.

— How can one understand which ritual can be done and which one is better not to attempt, so as not to harm oneself?

— First of all, you should not perform any rituals whose effect is directed at other people. If only because by interfering in another person’s fate, you risk your own. It is worth remembering that by selling your soul to Me, you have not yet become a witch or a warlock.

Secondly, rituals vary in their degree of Power. Even if they are directed at you (for wealth, health, luck, or success in something), in their structure such rituals may involve closer interaction with Other Demons. Without special knowledge, it is better to refrain from performing these rituals.

If the ritual is directed only at you and does not involve performing it at a cemetery, then in theory you can perform it without harm to yourself — provided, of course, that you follow the rules. (See rules for performing the ritual. Author’s note).

— If we consider the rituals that can be performed by those who have sold their soul, how can one distinguish working rituals from non-working ones, and how to determine which of them is stronger?

— Sorcery is not born in words or actions. Sorcery begins in the thoughts. If you are performing a ritual for the first time (not counting the sale of the soul), you should not expect an extraordinary result. Conversely, if, for example, you perform a ritual in a Black Church — a well-prayed Black Church — then even simple words become a powerful ritual. There are rituals that, in principle, will not work regardless of the experience of the person performing them. These are rituals directed at the fate of other people, especially if their effect contradicts My interests.

— And what about God’s interests?

(smile) If you violate His interests, I won’t get angry.

You are already doing it, aren’t you? You have either sold your soul or are only thinking about it. You have already plucked that very “forbidden fruit” — some are still holding it in their hands and hesitating, while others have already tasted it.

— Since we’re talking about interests, how can one know whether a planned ritual contradicts Your interests or not? What are Your interests?

— If you perform a ritual without knowing whether it contradicts them or not, the ritual simply won’t work if it does contradict them. But if you know that it contradicts them and still perform it anyway, then not only will it fail, but, as some witches and warlocks say, you will also receive a backlash.

— And how can one know whether it can be done or not?

— All rituals that are intended for yourself can be performed. You just need to realistically assess your own strength and not take on rituals that are very complex and require significant experience. I have already spoken earlier about the Power of rituals. But if the ritual is directed at another person, you can check with cards or in another way, or ask Me or Other Demons for an answer.

— Can we go back to backlashes? You said “as some witches and warlocks say, you will receive a backlash.” Readers often hear that backlashes are an almost inevitable part of any ritual. Where is the truth?

— Backlashes — let’s call them that for clarity — are the result of performing a ritual incorrectly. Either through your actions you “cross” the path of the Darkness and are given a sign, or you took on a ritual of special Power and were not able to prepare properly.

— And what about those backlashes that happen because of protection on the victim of the ritual? If you perform a ritual and the target has protection, backlashes also happen from that! What should one do in such cases?

— It’s simple: the person performing the ritual has little strength and experience. Don’t take on something that is beyond your capabilities. And if you do take it on, see it through to the end. Strength and experience come with practice. In general, this already belongs to Black Magic, and it is unlikely that such rituals will be within the power of someone who has only sold their soul. Deeper knowledge is required here… To put it simply, My children do not have such questions.

— What should one start with after selling their soul? What is the first step on the Path?

— Prayers. Read prayers. My Path is in them. Read them at home, in the church — because in Black churches people pray not to God, but to Me. Let Me into your thoughts, and I will let you into My Hell.

Chapter 9
“The Path”

— People very often ask me about the Path — specifically, serving the Devil and practicing sorcery. Is there a difference in stepping onto the Path between those who sold their soul for benefits and those who decided to come to You without selling it?

— There are many “paths” leading along My Path. For some it is the Path of sorcery, others prefer to carry the word about Me. Still others will let Me into their heart and soul and carry this with them throughout their entire life, simply feeling Me in their heart. On each of these “paths” there are those who sold their soul and those who simply came to Me and gave it. No, I see no difference between them.

— I know the answer to the next question, but I can’t help but ask it, because it is very important for the readers and they would like to hear the answer from You. Is it necessary to go through initiation in order to walk the Path?

— It depends on what you want to achieve on it. If it is for yourself — simply to honor prayers — then no. Initiation is not needed here. I hear you even without sorcerous initiation. But if you choose the Path of sorcery for yourself, not just to achieve your own goals, then you cannot do without initiation.

— If one chooses this Path, can anyone go through initiation?

— Alas, no! If in your heart your personal interests are higher than the interests of the Darkness, then initiation is not for you. This does not mean that you are indifferent to Me. You simply have another, also important, “path.” If you are reading this, it means you didn’t end up here by accident. Look back at the entire journey you have made to get here. It was not in vain. There is a place near Me for everyone who wants it — regardless of whether they have gone through initiation or not.

— What does initiation on the Path give?

— During initiation, you let into yourself not only Me, but the entire Darkness. You stand before It and swear allegiance to the Darkness. The Darkness accepts you, and you become a part of It. Sometimes, however, It does not accept you.

— What determines whether It accepts you or not?

— If you are ready to dissolve in the Darkness, then the Darkness will dissolve in you. If you came to the initiation thinking that it would help you solve your problems or achieve some kind of self-realization, then there will be no initiation.

— If that happens, does it mean that I am not needed by the Darkness?

— No. It means that you are not yet ready to let It in completely, without reservation. Many will remain unready. But that does not mean they cannot perform rituals — just not all of them.

— Yes, I remember You said that one can perform rituals, but not strong ones. Can they be strengthened somehow? Through sacrifice or in some other way?

— All your actions and words are born in your thoughts. Magic and sorcery are also born there. The power of a ritual likewise takes its beginning in thoughts. The main thing is to be properly prepared even for the simplest ritual.

Sacrifices are not needed by Me. Many are mistaken in this, thinking that if they bring Me a sacrifice, they will receive My favor in return. But why do they think that by choosing a deliberately weak victim that cannot oppose them in any way, they will rise in My eyes? Choose a bear or a tiger and go after it with your bare hands — or at least a wolf. If you have decided, then act as My Children do. Choose someone worthy — this will give you Strength. Anyone can chop off a rooster’s head — half the village can do it. But if you have already chosen a rooster as a sacrifice, then create life first, and only then bring it. Hatch an egg, raise a chick, invest your strength, and only after that bring it to Me. The easy path does not make us stronger, and I want those near Me to be worthy.

— And besides sacrifice? For example, some kind of attributes?

— Ritual attributes have their place. They help greatly to focus on the ritual. But attributes are not the main thing in a ritual. It can be performed without any attributes at all. They became necessary in order to separate ritual items from everyday ones. For example, not every household had a separate table used only for rituals. Sometimes the table was used for other purposes as well. So, to distinguish this everyday table from the ritual one, it began to be covered with a piece of cloth used only during rituals. Attributes help you gather your thoughts together. Remember what I said about thoughts earlier? When you prepare or acquire any item for rituals, you acquire it already with a thought placed upon it. You endow this item with Power, magic, and sorcery.

— Is there a difference between making ritual items yourself or buying them?

— It depends. If you have no experience in sorcery at all, then a purchased item from a knowledgeable person will certainly add Power to the ritual. If you already have experience with rituals, you can make it just as well yourself. But there are exceptions. For example, Adonis icons. They are made only by those who have gone through initiation. Of course, you can make one yourself, but such icons will gain Power over the years and through experience.

— And how can one know that this item was made by someone who has gone through initiation (a dark one, a warlock, a witch, etc.)? After all, they might slip you an item that has nothing to do with sorcery.

— You shouldn’t worry about that anymore. If at the time of purchase you were told that this item was made according to all the traditions of Black Magic or consecrated by the Darkness (or something similar — many call it differently), then you can safely believe it, even if it isn’t true. In My ranks I do not tolerate lies, and I Myself will fill this item with power and will demand an account from the one who made it and lied. Those who have been initiated know this and do it correctly.
